A $500,000 grant from the Oregon Parks & Recreation Department (Oregon Lottery funds) will go towards the around $4 million cost of construction of this phase. Lighted artificial turf playing fields and a parking lot were completed and opened in June 2008. Soon to come are restrooms, concessions, tennis courts, basketball courts, plaza with fountain, and additional parking.
